Monterosa Prestige features

The Monterosa Prestige (MRP) takes place on Saturday 25 June 2022 with departure from Brusson - Val d’Ayas (AO). It is a long distance running event / marathon of competitive and competitive mountain bike.

Paths

There are three routes: an Ultra Extreme of 87.5 km with 3340 m of altitude difference, an Extreme of 69.5 km with 2690 km of altitude difference and a Classic of 53.9 km with 1840 m of altitude difference. Participants must choose the route when registering. In any case, it will be possible to pass the course within the registration deadline.

For all those currently enrolled in the old Extreme and Classic courses, they will be automatically moved:

  • Those enrolled to the old Extreme course will be moved to the ULTRA EXTREME course
  • Those enrolled in the old Classic course will be moved to the CLASSIC course

Those wishing to register for the new EXTREME course must send an email to segreteria@sdam.it and insert in cc the email info@monterosaprestige.com.

Participation

The event is open to all FCI members or bodies of the Council, to members of a foreign National Cycling Federation and to cycle tourists, who have turned 19 by the day of the race.

Athletes NOT in possession of an annual F.C.I. o Sports Promotion Bodies that have signed the agreement with the FCI, equipped with a medical certificate of competitive activity, to be presented in original when collecting the technical envelope, can participate in the race by requesting the FCI competitive day card, upon payment of € 15.00 as FCI daily insurance. Membership must be requested when registering with the registration office exclusively on Friday 24 June 2022 from 14.00 to 19.00 and / or Saturday 25 June 2022 from 06.00 to 07.00.

For the issue of the daily competitive card and for the participation of foreign members, it is necessary to sign the ethical declaration required by the FCI rules and deliver it to the organization. Download the form!

Registrations

Registrations are open from 10 December 2021 at 08.00 until 23 June 2022 at 23:59.

On-site registrations are possible on Friday 24/06/2022 (from 14.00 to 19.00) and Saturday 25/06/2022 (from 6.00 to 7.00) with payment of the fee in cash.

On-line registration: by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal directly to the institution following the registrations by accessing the “Registration” menu from the website www.monterosaprestige.com and following the instructions.

In addition to registering with the methods specified above, FCI members must subsequently register also through the K factor (http://fci.ksport.kgroup.eu/Fci/) through the sports club to which they belong by Thursday 23rd. / 06/2022. After this date and time the K factor will be closed and not reopened for ANY category.

Registrations made only through Factor K are not valid, just as those not completed even with Factor K are not valid for FCI members.

In case of non-participation, the amount will not be refunded or transferred to the following year.

 

Signature

By sending the registration form, the competitor declares:

  • to have a medical certificate according to the D.M. of 18/02/82. The organization assumes no responsibility in the event of any accident or illness of the athlete
  • to have a regular card if registered with an Italian Cycling Federation or Body of the Council
  • to know and respect this regulation

The participant gives his consent to the use of his images and data, in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy Law no. 675 of 12/31/1996.

Privacy

In full compliance with the provisions of the privacy law, Articles 13 and 23 of Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30.06.2003 on the subject of "protection of personal data" and In compliance with the new GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679, the data requested with the registration will be exclusively processed for the normal secretarial activity of the aforementioned tender, as well as for any proposals and communications relating to the activities of the Organizing Committee of the MRP. The update or cancellation can be requested by writing to info@valdayas-monterosa.com. In the same way, the will may be expressed not to communicate the data in question to others.

Image right

By registering with the MRP, the competitor expressly authorizes the Organizing Committee, together with the media partners, to acquire the right to use the still or moving images that possibly portray him during his participation in the race, on all media, including promotional and / or advertising materials, all over the world and for all the maximum time provided for by the laws, regulations, treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the envisaged period.

Registration Fee

SINGLE ENROLLMENTS

Registrations will open on 10 December 2021

Until March 31, 2022 single registration for € 50.00

From 1 April to 25 June 2022 single registration for € 70.00

 

COLLECTIVE ENROLLMENTS (MINIMUM 5 PARTICIPANTS)

From 10 December to 31 March 2022 collective registration starting from € 225.00 (minimum 5 participants, each athlete € 45.00)

From 1 April to 25 June collective registration starting from € 300.00 (minimum 5 participants, each athlete € 60.00)

 

The participation fee includes: race pack, route signaling, medical assistance, radio assistance, mechanical assistance at the start, refreshments along the route and upon arrival, lunch party, changing rooms and showers, bike washing, award ceremonies.

- Agonists in the ELITE category are exempt from the registration fee. The exemption from payment of the registration fee does not provide for the delivery of the race pack to the athlete.

- Registration by ELITE must be done by sending an email to registration@monterosaprestige.com attaching the K factor registration form.

Participant replacement

It is possible to replace the name of a participant with that of another person online by 23/06/2022 at 2.00 pm After this date it is possible to replace only in presence at the registration at the competition field on Friday 24/06 14.00 -19.00 and Saturday 25/06 6.00 - 8.30.

Please have the proxy of the person you want to replace.

Path replacement

It is possible to replace the course online by 23/06/2022 at 2 pm. After this date, it is possible to replace the course only in presence at the registration at the competition field on Friday 24/06 at 14.00 -19.00 and Saturday 25/06 6.00 am - 8.30 am.

Race Package and technical envelope

Each competitor will receive the race pack and the technical envelope (bib-front panel for the bike - the bib back, the transponder, voucher for the pasta party).

The delivery of the race pack and the verification of sports cards will take place at the MRP Bike Village in Brusson loc. Vollon:

  • Friday 24/06/2022 (from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm)
  • Saturday 25/06/2022 (from 6.00 to 8.30)

The technical envelope and the race pack can be collected by showing a personal document, the sports card and the medical certificate valid on the day of the race.

Technical meeting

The meeting (briefing) with the competitors is scheduled for Friday 24/06/2022 at 6 pm in Brusson loc. Vollon MRP Bike Village

Maximum times - Gates

At the gates of maximum time, the bib will be withdrawn from those who fail to pass within the time limit. No exceptions will be made for any reason or case. Participants will be able to continue on MTB without a bib. After the maximum times, part of the staff, in charge of control and assistance, and of the signs will be removed.

The following maximum times are envisaged:

Timing

It will be carried out by the REAL TIME company, with technology based on the use of chips. Each participant must be equipped with a disposable chip, to be applied to the Mountainbike. Devices and instructions will be delivered upon accreditation.

Failure or incorrect use of the chip will result in non-inclusion in the ranking and non-attribution of the time spent.

Retreats

Competitors who abandon the competition must present themselves to the first employee along the route and hand over the front panel (bib). Competitors who exceed the maximum limits set at the gates will be stopped, they will have to return the front panel (bib) and will be able to use the van used for the recovery of athletes to reach Champoluc.

Health care

It provides for the use of ambulances with doctors and nurses, fixed First Aid points, one of which is permanent in the finish area, mobile Radio Aid service.

Mechanical assistance

In the departure / arrival area there will be a mechanical assistance service.

Along the way there will be reserved areas for refueling and authorized technical assistance managed by the teams: they will be clearly indicated and numbered, closed to the public and only authorized personnel will be able to access them.

Environmental Protection

We leave no waste along the way. It is strictly forbidden to throw litter along the route. The waste must be thrown into the bins placed after the refreshment points (feed zone). Failure to comply with the rules results in immediate disqualification.

Complaints

Any complaints must be received by the jury within the regulatory deadlines accompanied by the tax required according to the FCI regulations.

Jury

The competition jury is composed of a representative of the Organizing Committee, a representative of the FCI competition judges and a representative of the timekeepers.

Cancellation / Variations of the race

The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to the course and profile of the route. The event will take place in the presence of any weather condition that does not affect the safety and health of the participants, and can be interrupted at the discretion of the organizer.

If, due to force majeure, the event does not take place, the participation fee will neither be refunded nor transferred to the following year.

However, if problems related to the Coronavirus pandemic reappear, a possible cancellation of the tender due to these problems would result in an automatic freezing of registration fees in 2023.In this case, in fact, the choice we will make will be between maintaining registration in 2023 o the reimbursement of 50% of the amount paid.

All the details regarding the above will be made known on the internet or on site, during the race.

Variations of the regulation

The organizing committee reserves the right to modify these regulations at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for a better organization of the race.

The organization reserves the right to make changes to the regulation at any time. For anything not provided for in these regulations, the FCI's statutory technical regulations apply. Any changes to services, places and times will be appropriately communicated to registered athletes through the website www.monterosaprestige.com, the official information body of the event.

Duties of the participants

1. Visibly attach the number provided by the organization to the handlebar. The number cannot be modified or altered in any way

2. Fix the chips to the two sides of the helmet, as indicated by the timekeepers

3. MANDATORY USE OF THE HOMOLOGATED HELMET DURING THE ENTIRE RACE

4. Obey the rules of the road when passing on the road

5. Participants stopped at the gates for a maximum time must deliver the bib to the gate manager

6. Those who have not entered the grid 10 (ten) minutes before the start are automatically entered in the last starting grid

7. It is compulsory to carry a puncture repair kit with you during the race

8. It is advisable to bring some spare clothing and a cape with you in the event of bad weather

9. Slower competitors must immediately give way to those overtaking

10. Sections with low visibility must be approached with caution

11. To repair technical damage it is compulsory to stop outside the race course, in visible areas

12. Runners who abandon the race must notify the first person in charge of checking the course and on arrival

13. lane changes are no longer allowed in the finish area

14. Violation of these rules will result in disqualification.

Bans

Participation with the bib of another runner, the transfer of the bib to others, the start in a previous grid than the one assigned or other serious event, which will be detected by the organization, will cause immediate exclusion from the event.

The measures indicated above are those adopted by the organization.

The civic sense of the participants is appealed to in order not to throw waste along the route, but by placing it in the special containers at the refreshment posts, identified by a start and end refreshment point. Competitors who throw objects of any kind outside the spaces are disqualified.

The use of bicycles equipped with any kind of support, electric and / or electronic help, pedal assist or tandem in competitive competitions (ULTRA EXTREME, EXTREME and CLASSIC) is strictly forbidden, under penalty of disqualification or exclusion.

Traffic rules

The competition will take place partly on public and private roads. It is everyone's duty to respect the rules of the Italian highway code. Furthermore, it is mandatory to comply with the relevant UCI and FCI regulations. Anyone who does not respect these rules will be immediately disqualified.

Responsibility

By registering (also by third parties) the competitor declares to know and respect the MRP regulation published on the website www.monterosaprestige.com which can be consulted in the area of the centralized secretariat of the event, according to the FCI regulations in force and to have completed 19 years by the day of competition; declares to be in possession of the FCI card or Sports Promotion Bodies belonging to the National Council and attach it to the registration form.

The competitor is also aware that participating in the MRP and / or sporting events in general is potentially a risky activity. He declares to register voluntarily and assuming all the risks deriving from his participation in the event: falls, contacts with vehicles, with other participants, spectators or other, weather conditions, traffic and road conditions, any type of well-known risk and by itself self rated.

Therefore, being aware of the above, considering the acceptance of their registration, each competitor, on his behalf and in the interest of no one else, releases and releases the Organizing Committee of the MRP, the Promoters, the Regional Administration of the Valle d Aosta, the administrations of the Municipalities affected by the passage of the race, all the Sponsors of the event, their respective representatives, successors, officers, directors, members, agents and employees of the aforementioned companies, of all present and future claims or liability of any kind, known or unknown, derived from his participation in the event.
