Monterosa Prestige features

The Monterosa Prestige (MRP) takes place on Saturday 27th of June 2020 starting from Brusson - Val d'Ayas (AO). It is a mountainbike marathon event for competitive mountain bikers.


There are two paths, an Extreme of 91 km 3254 D+ in altitude and a Classic 52 km with 2038 D+ in altitude.

There is also a non competitive path for Ebikes: Monterosa Prestige EBIKE

Participants must choose the path at the time of enrollment. However, it will be possible to change the route by closing the registration.


The event is open to all FCI or Enti della Consulta members, to members of a foreign national cycling federation and to cyclists, who have turned 19 years old by the day of the competition. Registration here!

Registrations are open from October the 1st, 2018 at 08.00 until July the 19th, 2019 at 23:59.


Registration on the spot is possible on Saturday 20 (from 16.00 to 18.00) and on Sunday 21 (from 6.00 to 7.00) with payment of the fee in cash.


Online registration: by bank transfer, credit card, PayPal directly to the agency that follows the registration by accessing the website in the "Registration" menu and follow the instructions.


In addition to the registration with the methods specified above, the FCI members must subsequently register also through the K factor ( through the sports club of belonging by Friday 19 July 2019. After this date and time the K factor will be closed and not reopened for NO category.


Entries made only through Factor K are not valid, as they are not valid, for FCI members, those not perfected even with Factor K.


In case of non-participation, the amount will not be reimbursed or transferred to the following year.



By submitting the registration form, the competitor declares:

- to have a medical certificate according to the D.M. of 18/02/82. The organization assumes no responsibility in case of any accident or illness of the athlete

- to have a regular card if enrolled in an Italian Cycling Federation or in the Council of the Council

- to know and respect this regulation.

The participant expresses the consent of the use of his images and data, just the provisions of the law on Privacy n. 675 of 31/12/1996.


In full compliance with the provisions of the law on privacy, Art. 13 and 23 of the legislative decree no. 196 of 30.06.2003 on the subject of "protection of personal data" and in compliance with the new GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679, the data required for registration will only be processed for the normal secretarial activity of the aforementioned tender, as well as for any proposals and communications concerning the activities of the Organizing Committee of the MRP. By registering with the MRP, the competitor expressly authorizes the Organizing Committee, together with the media partners, to acquire the right to use the still or moving images that eventually portray it during their participation in the competition, on all media, including promotional and / or advertising materials, all over the world and for the maximum time required by the laws, regulations, treaties in force, including any extension that may be made to the expected period.

Registration Fee

Cost: € 60.00 until March 31st 2019, € 70.00 from April 1st 2019

The participation fee includes: race package, route notification, medical assistance, radio rescue, mechanical assistance at the start, refreshments along the route and on arrival, lunch parties, changing rooms and showers, bike washing, prizes.

- ELITE agonists are exempted from the registration fee. The exemption from payment of the registration fee does not provide for the delivery of the race pack to the athlete.

- Registration by ELITE must be made by sending an email to enclosing the registration form for the K-factor.

- Cumulative registrations for groups / teams: every 5 athletes registered a free registration (4 +1 free); every 10 athletes registered two free registrations (8 + 2 free).

Participant replacement

It is possible to replace a participant's name with that of another person by 23/06/2019. After this date until 07/07/19 for this operation will be required a contribution of € 20.00 with bank transfer payable to:

Race Package and technical envelope

Each competitor will receive the race pack and the technical bag (bib-front plate for the bike - the back bib, the transponder, good for the pasta party).

The delivery of the race pack and the verification of sports cards will take place at the MRP Bike Village 2019 in Brusson loc. Vollon:

• Saturday 20 July from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm

• Sunday 21 July from 6.00 to 7.30

The technical envelope and the race pack can be collected by presenting a personal document, sports card and medical certificate valid on the day of the race.

Technical meeting

The meeting (briefing) with the competitors is scheduled for Saturday 20 July at 17.00 in Brusson loc. Vollon MRP Bike Village 2019

Maximum times - Gates

At the gates of maximum time, the bib number will be withdrawn from those who fail to pass within the time limit set. No exceptions will be made for any reason and case. Participants can continue on MTB without a bib. After the maximum times, part of the staff, in charge of the control and assistance, and of the signs will be removed.

It will be carried out by the company REAL TIME, with technology based on the use of chips. Each participant must be equipped with a disposable chip, to be applied to the Mountainbike. Devices and instructions will be delivered upon crediting.

Failure or incorrect use of the chip will result in non-inclusion in the ranking and non-allocation of time spent.


Competitors who leave the competition must present themselves to the first person on the course and hand over the front (bib). Competitors who exceed the maximum limits set at the gates will be stopped, will have to return the front plate (bib) and will be able to use the bus used to recover athletes to reach Brusson.

Health care

It foresees the use of ambulances with doctors and nurses, of fixed First Aid points, one of which is permanent in the arrival area, the mobile service of Radio Soccorso.

Mechanical assistance

In the start / finish area there will be a mechanical assistance service.

Along the way there will be reserved areas for refueling and authorized technical assistance managed by the teams: they will be clearly indicated and numbered, closed to the public and will only be accessed by authorized personnel.

Environmental Protection

We do not leave rubbish along the way. It is strictly forbidden to throw waste along the way. The waste must be thrown into the bins placed after the refreshment points (feed zone). Failure to comply with the rules will result in immediate disqualification.


Any complaints must be received by the jury in accordance with the regulatory terms accompanied by the tax envisaged under the FCP regulations.


The jury is composed of a representative of the Organizing Committee, a representative of the FCI judges and a representative of the timekeepers.

Cancellation / Variations of the race

The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to the progress and the route profile. The event will take place in the presence of any weather condition that does not affect the safety and health of the participants, and can be interrupted at the discretion of the organizer.

If, due to force majeure, the event does not take place, the amount of participation will not be reimbursed or transferred to the following year.

All details regarding the above will be announced on the internet or on site during the race.

Variations of the regulation

The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the present regulations at any time for reasons that it deems appropriate for a better organization of the competition.

The organization reserves the right to make changes to the regulations at any time. For what is not provided for by this regulation, the technical rules of the FCI are valid. Any changes to services, places and timetables will be communicated to registered athletes through the website, the official information body of the event.

Duties of the participants

1. fix the number provided by the organization visibly to the handlebars. The number can not be changed or altered in any way

2. fasten the chips to the two sides of the helmet, according to the indications received from the timekeepers


4. Comply with the highway code in the passages

5. participants stopped at the gates of maximum time will have to deliver the bib number to the gate manager

6. who has not entered the grid 10 (ten) minutes before the start is automatically inserted in the last starting grid

7. it is mandatory to bring a puncture repair kit with you

8. it is advisable to bring along some spare garment and a cape in the event of bad weather

9. slower competitors must immediately give way to those in the process of overtaking

10. sections with low visibility must be approached with caution

11. to repair technical damages it is mandatory to stop outside the race course, in visible areas

12. runners who leave the race must notify the first person in charge of the check on the route and on arrival

13. Lane change is no longer allowed in the finish area

14. violation of these rules will result in disqualification.


LThe participation of another rider with the bib, the assignment of the bib to others, the departure in a grid previous to that assigned or other serious event, which will be detected by the organization, will cause the immediate exclusion from the event.

The measures indicated above are those adopted by the organization.

It appeals to the civic sense of the participants in order not to throw garbage along the path, but placing them in the appropriate containers at the refreshment posts, identified by a beginning and end of refreshment. The competitors, who throw objects of any kind outside the spaces, are disqualified.

It is strictly forbidden, under penalty of disqualification or exclusion, the use of bicycles with any kind of support, electric and / or electronic assistance, pedal assistance or tandem in competitive competitions (EXTREME and CLASSIC)

Traffic rules

The competition will take place partly on public and private roads. It is a duty of everyone to respect the rules of the Italian highway code. Furthermore, it is mandatory to comply with the UCI and FCI regulations on the matter. Anyone who does not respect these rules will be immediately disqualified.


By registering (also by third parties) the competitor declares to know and comply with the regulations of the MRP published on the website available in the area of the centralized secretariat of the event, according to the FCI regulations and having completed 19 years before the day of competition; declares to be in possession of the FCI card or Sports Promotion Bodies belonging to the National Council and attach it to the registration form.


The competitor is also aware that participating in MRP and / or sporting events in general is potentially an activity at risk. He declares to register voluntarily and assuming all the risks deriving from his participation in the event: falls, contacts with vehicles, with other participants, spectators or other, weather condition, traffic and road conditions, any type of risk well known and by himself assessed itself.


Therefore, being aware of the above, considering the acceptance of their registration, each competitor, on his behalf and in the interest of no other, raises and releases the Organizing Committee of the MRP, the Promoters, the Regional Administration of the Valle d 'Aosta, the administrations of the Municipalities affected by the passage of the tender, all the Sponsors of the event, the respective representatives, successors, officers, directors, members, agents and employees of the aforementioned Companies, of all present and future complaints or responsibilities of every type, known or unknown, derived from its participation in the event.
